INTERMITTENT FASTING FOR WEIGHT LOSS: DO'S AND DONT'S (TOC TUESDAY)

So last week we talked about INTERMITTENT FASTING - the response was so overwhelmingly interactive we had to shed more light on the topic! Today we'll be talking about how you can APPLY intermittent fasting for weight-loss. The recipe is pretty simple actually - get in the mindset of using intermittent fasting as a tool more-so than the "strict guidelines" that rob all the fun. When it comes to weight loss in general, caloric deficit is key.   What is caloric deficit?  Think of it like a gas tank (our body) that shrunk if you only ever filled it up 3/4 of the way.  Now, obviously gas tanks don't shrink! Happy TOC Tuesday FeastFam! (just made that name up, what y'all think?)  Today we're talking one of my favorite topics in the health & wellness industry - intermittent fasting.  What is intermittent fasting? Well, much like this blog intermittent fasting is best kept short, sweet, and to the point.  It is a style of dieting thats not even truly a diet! It's more of an eating pattern. Based around short windows of eating, typical intermittent fast splits are either 16 hours long every day, or (2) 24 hour fasts twice a week.  This eating pattern is so effective and popular because, frankly, most of us forget to eat throughout the day anyways.
